Nova Nova Galeria is the latest creative project by Gregor Marter. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, Greg has called many places home. On his journeys with wind, waves, vinyl, and frisbees, he spent time in Queenstown, Melbourne, Los Angeles, and Berlin before discovering the stunning beaches and cliffs of Odeceixe. As a connector, spiritual mind, and lover of art and design, opening a gallery was a long-cherished dream, waiting for the right time and place to become reality.

Nova Nova Galeria believes in art as a vital medium of connection and has the vision to link melting-pot cities with the Western Algarve, fostering creativity, joy, and exchange. It’s a place for international artists, locals, art collectors, families, and friends seeking inspiration, a connection to the zeitgeist, meaning, and reflection on life itself. True to its unofficial motto of living wiser, not smarter, Nova Nova Galeria will be an authentic, growing, and ever-changing space for community projects, art exhibitions, and creations.

In addition to establishing Nova Nova Galeria, Gregor Marter has also launched a disc golf park in Vale Juncal. Disc golf, a sport similar to golf but played with frisbee discs, was pioneered by Gregor in Hamburg in the early 90s. The park offers visitors a unique chance to combine art and sport in a natural setting.
